PRHS AASO
About
The Asian-American Student Organization is an inclusive club at Peachtree Ridge High School in which our purpose is to send support to the events that are correlated to Asian culture, even the littlest connections.
We reach out to businesses, events coordinators, and volunteer events/community organizations to see if they need any help. This is why we give have an hours system in AASO. We draw in members with our hours system and make them help out/support these events/businesses/causes. Examples being Foodie Fridays (usually small Asian owned businesses), GAASA Banquet (sponsored by a lot of Asian owned businesses), and the BPSOS Health Fair that is annually held usually. BPSOS Health Fair is one of our favorites as it's cause is to help people who don't have the money for medical help. Its compromised of Asian doctors mostly. Trunk or Treat and FON are events required for the school and we usually try to make it as fun as possible for our members AND the officers as well as we're just students tryna be fun AND productive. Also there is Emily's (Internal VP of AASO) favorite of OCC where we send out volunteers for children.
AASO is only the bridge. It depends on whether or not the member decides on doing something FOR Asian culture. We are expected to PRESENT opportunities.
